How we compare software
Start with the job
We compare the path from customer enquiry to quote, scheduling, completed paperwork, invoice and payment. We look at the plan needed for that workflow, the phones used on site and the accounting package receiving the records.
Count the whole bill
We record billing currency, user or job allowances, annual commitments, tax treatment and important extras. A price per month paid annually is not presented as a flexible monthly subscription. Team-cost examples state their assumptions.
Explain the trade-offs
A product may offer attractive pricing for a larger team but a job-volume allowance that does not suit a busy sole trader. A checklist is not automatically a statutory certificate. Missing evidence is not treated as a confirmed absence. We identify practical checks that could change the buying decision.
Keep sources useful
Each researched claim keeps a source and retrieval date in our editorial records. Pages show a compact reference list rather than the internal approval log. Pricing evidence is checked again before publication if it is more than ninety days old.
