Compare the bill in the currency you pay
Tradify Lite is £34 per user per month. Jobber publishes prices in USD: Core is USD49 month-to-month or USD29 per month with annual prepayment for one user. The lower Jobber figure commits you to annual billing; it is not a flexible USD29 monthly subscription. Do not convert dollars to a fixed pound amount and call it a UK price. Your exchange rate and payment-provider charges can change the actual bill.
Adding people changes the comparison
Three Tradify Lite users cost £102 a month at the checked £34 seat price, while five cost £170. Jobber’s Connect pricing differs for one user and a five-user team: the checked flexible monthly figures are USD139 and USD199 respectively. A buyer who needs Connect’s accounting integration should compare Connect, not Core. Compare your paid office and field users together, then check any annual commitment before deciding which model is cheaper.
The case for Tradify
Tradify puts the documented core quote-to-invoice workflow and Xero, Sage and QuickBooks Online integrations in Lite. Pro adds repeat jobs and compliance certificates. That gives a UK buyer clearer plan boundaries to check when the accounting package and trade paperwork already shape the business. The limitation is per-user cost: every extra licence needs to earn its place. Test the required certificate rather than assuming a generic compliance label covers your trade.
The case for Jobber
Jobber Core documents online booking, quotes, invoicing and scheduling. QuickBooks Online sync starts at Connect, and Connect’s job checklists can support completion records. That does not establish UK statutory certificate coverage. Jobber’s official help documentation also supports UK payment processing, while subscription billing remains in USD. Check payment fees, eligibility and the actual accounting route separately from the subscription features.
What would make us rule either out
If a specific Xero or Sage sync is essential, verify Jobber’s current route before relying on it; our checked feature evidence confirms QuickBooks Online rather than those integrations. If online self-service booking is essential, make Tradify demonstrate the complete workflow rather than treating an enquiry form as a booked slot. Offline operation, tracking and tax submission still need direct checks where our evidence is incomplete. Missing evidence is not a confirmed absence.
Use the trial to settle the choice
Both suppliers advertise fourteen-day trials. Run the same sample job through booking, quote acceptance, a schedule change, completion and invoicing. Export to your actual accounts and view the customer documents on a phone. Jobber’s trial exposes Grow features, so identify which of the functions you use remain in your intended paid tier. Record a whole-team price for that tier before signing up. A smooth trial with the wrong subscription features is not a reliable buying decision.
